WHO WE ARE

The Mini Legends Program is an innovative physical literacy program for youth based in Alberta. Our vision is to develop physical literacy in youth through sport-based skills.

The Mini Legends Program is a grassroots program of Athletics Alberta – the provincial governing body for track and field, cross country, and road running. OUR INTENTION

To provide a safe and inclusive program, focusing on developing life and physical learning, using sport-based skills.

OUR KEY PRINCIPLES

PHYSICAL LITERACY

Physical Literacy is a combination of specific skills and attitudes related to engaging in physical activities.

WELLBEING

The skills and attitudes associated with physical literacy give youth the tools to regulate their physical, social, and emotional wellbeing through physical activity.

INCLUSION

When ALL youth are empowered to be physically literate through accessible opportunities, they develop resiliency, teamwork skills, determination, and accomplishment.
